kidney disease

kidney disease

Kidney disease has been increasing in incidence in the last few years due to the increase in incidence of diabetes and hypertension as well as population aging. Kidney disease can be treated by treating the underlying cause. When kidneys fail, then treatment at that point would be either transplantation or dialysis.

There are two types of dialysis, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. The goal of dialysis is to filter the blood and replace the kidney function.
